About The New England Half Marathon Tour
The New England Half Marathon Tour - 3C Race Productions latest venture - is a seven state tour of some of the most scenic, most unique, and/or most unexpected venues for half marathon runners. Each venue is chosen not only for some of it's special features (such as the Battleship Cove Museum in Fall River) - but also to bring half marathons to historically underserved areas. There has been an explosion in the numbers of half marathoners in recent years in response to the rapidly growing number of fans, yet there are still many wonderful locations that do not have one of their own.
Great Races in Great Places!!!
Thus the New England Half Marathon Tour is bringing races to new locations such as Nashua, New Hampshire; Killington, Vermont; Fall River, Massachusetts; and Saratoga Springs, New York. Runners get to experience running on race tracks; through urban parks; and tourist attractions such as L.L. Bean.
The New England Half Marathon Tour debuted in 2013 with at least one race in all six states --- 8 total --- and we added 5 new races in 2014 and are adding 2-5 more in 2015. The success of the series and feedback from the thousands of runners who will take part in the The New England Half Marathon Tour will drive our growth.
The seed for the New England Half Marathon Tour germinated in Fall 2012 when 3C Race Productions put on the Fall River (MA) Half Marathon on short notice (the host tavern was sold 6 months prior to race date) and still attracted 200 runners and then the Wolf Hollow Half Marathon in Nashua, New Hampshire which attracted almost 600 runners and got Rave Reviews. Almost 3,000 runners took part in the 2013 races, more than 4,000 runners in the 2014 series. We are shooting for 6,000 in 2015.
